First you need to be aware of your goals and which dance agencies can help you meet them. Do you want to be a dancer on Broadway or in the Westend? Do you want to be a dancer on cruise ships, in music videos, a backing dancer, or appear in advertisements?
There are all dance agencies that care of all of these and each agency specializes in different things.
So first be clear on what types of dancing jobs interest you. Then you need to find which agencies can send you in the direction of these jobs.
Now here word of mouth is often true. Learn from those already in the dance industry which agencies are the best ones and which ones the best dancers are with.
The more prestigious the dance agency, the higher the quality of jobs they are contacted about. It will also mean at these auditions you will meet the very best dancers as well. But you should expect that!
The best dancers will be with the best agencies so find out who these agencies are.

Once you have found some dance agencies that you are interested in, the next step is to get in contact with them.
